The Constitution of a Nation

In this paper, we hope to begin to explain the hidden purpose of God in establishing this country, and the work he is doing even now to fulfill his ultimate purpose. We hope you will take the time to read these words. And if your heart is stirred, as ours is, to be a part of what he is doing on the earth, then come and join the revolution!

There’s a hidden purpose for America. It goes back to the days leading up to the American Revolution. A spiritual revolution was beginning. The story of that spiritual revolution is being rediscovered right now. That’s because a stirring is going on right now—a rebirth of that revolution. It was waiting for the time we live in. It could have only begun here in America.
Today most Americans seem to have forgotten the evils that forced their ancestors to flee to this country. The colonists wanted to form a government that allowed all men to be free. Fundamentally, this was the freedom to obey their conscience. They had lived for years under governments that did not acknowledge the rights of commoners. Instead those governments demanded absolute allegiance to the king and his church. Matters of religion and conscience were not considered personal or private by those in power. The religion of the ruler was the religion of the people…or else!
Learning from History
Shortly after the delegates in the Constitutional Convention of 1787 had put their signatures to their work, Benjamin Franklin, the oldest delegate, was asked, “Well Dr. Franklin, what have you given us?” His answer is curious and full of meaning: “A republic, if you can keep it.” Benjamin Franklin was not a careless speaker. Nor was he flippant or trite. There was usually much meaning behind his well considered words. His answer portrayed hope, but also a warning...
There is a better society on earth today. They are a small and powerless people, and for them, “In God We Trust” is not just a motto.
It is a way of life.
And in the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever, just as you saw that a stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The great God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure. (Daniel 2:44-45)
