The Commonwealth of Israel
At
one
time
the
God
of
Heaven
found
a
man
whom
He
could
call
a
friend.
That
man
was
Abraham.
God
made
a
promise
to
him
which
is
not
yet
fulfilled.
It
is
for
this
hope,
and
to
bring
about
the
fulfillment
of
this
promise,
that
we
serve
our
God
night
and
day.

The Foolish Nation
God's plan to win back a remnant of Abraham's wayward descendants and to give them the promised land depends on raising up a spiritual Israel of Twelve Tribes amongst the gentiles.
Abraham
One of the most wonderful men who ever lived
— warm, kind, compassionate. These were all words
you could use to describe him. What was so unique about
this man that God chose him out of all the people on earth
to start His nation?
Faith of Abraham
We
can
but
wonder
what
went
on
in
Abraham's
heart
when
his
son
asked
him, "Behold,
the
fire
and
the
wood,
but
where
is
the
lamb
for
the
burnt
offering?"
On
that
day
the
true
nature
of
faith
was
established.
It Happened in Jerusalem
The streets were packed with people who had
come for Shavout (the late spring festival) and in the
midst of the million or so worshippers and busy merchants,
a spiritual awakening occurred.
Like A Swarm
What
was
the
church
supposed
to
be
like?
The
Hebrew
word "edah"
usually
translated "congregation"
in
most
Bibles
also
means
beehive
or
community.
This
is
far
different
than
coffee
and
doughnuts
in
the
fellowship
hall
— it
is
a
full-time
life.
Rekindling the Fire
Yahshua
said
that
He
came
to
cast
fire
on
the
earth
—
a
life
of
love
that
would
be
a
light
to
the
nations.
2000
years
later
that
same
fire
is
now
being
re-kindled.
Why Twelve Tribes
Our
twelve
tribes
have
nothing
to
do
with
mystical
tribalism,
the
Mormons,
the
Rastafarians,
or
British
Israelism...
A New Social Order
"Birds
of
a
feather
flock
together,"
so
the
old
saying
goes.
But
where
can
birds
of
different
feathers
flock
together
in
peace?
